B5 ACTA Olympus Group and Avenger

The Olympus Group is painted in much the same way as the Novas. The Blue is Reaper Master series Saphire Blue, True Blue, and Sky Blue. The Reds are Mecharite from the GW Foundation series

This is the EAS Demophon, The EAS Chromius, and the EAS Meges.

They are based on 2" Georgo bases.

The Avenger is painted with Adeptus Battlegrey, and the highlighted with Astronomicon Grey. The blues are the the same as the Olympus

This is the EAS Laocoon

These are Tiger Starfurys, I wanted to use the older model starfury, to match the older style carrier of the Avenger. Even though these ships aren't technically available for the 3rd age, I just use them as standard starfuries.
This is Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, and Black Flights.

The red is Mecharite (F), orange- Macharius Solar (F), yellow- Iyanden Darksun (F), highlighted with Sun Yellow (RMS), green- Snot Green (GW), Indigo- 50/50 Amethyst purple (RMS) and Pale Indigo (RMS), Violet- Imperial Purple (RMS).
They were painted using the same pattern as the olympus, but highlighted withskull white.

B5 ACTA Nova group

These 4 Novas make up part of my 3rd age Earth Alliance Fleet "Ageas".

It took me 4 tries to get the paint scheme right, and it was exhausting.
I Basecoated the model in Adeptus Battlegrey, and then inked the model with Badab Black.
Then I line highlighted up with Rainy Grey, and Misty Grey.

The Metal is Boltgun, chainmail, and Mithril, inked with Badab

I also added the antennae by using metal pins and a very very small bit.

The bases are 2" Georeo

I name all of my ships after characters from the Trojan War
This is the EAS Astynax, the EAS Calchas, The EAS Tenes, and the EAS Thoas

Necron BFG Fleet

As a hobby painter I do a lot of commissions for people. This recent one was done for the GW Chicago Battle Bunker. Apparently some contest winner won their choice of a free painted army, and they chose a Necron Fleet. I thought I would post the pics I took before I handed them off.

The Fleet was actually done with all GW paints which is unusual for me, because I'm a big proponent of Reaper master series.

The Metal was done by first basing the model in Tin Bitz, Then drybrushing Boltgun, Chainmail, and Mithril.

The Pyramids were Tinbitz, and line highlighted with Shining Gold, Burnished, and a tiny bit of Mithril

I then inked the whole model with with a 25/75 Thraka green and Gryphon Sepia, waited for it to dry. Then I did a Badab wash.

The green gauss effects were Orkhide, Snot, then a 25/75 mix of snot and skull. As per request, the little spark actions were added with a simple line of skull white.

The bases are Georgo 1", 2", 3" rounds. I printed some NASA starfields onto some sticker paper, and with some fancy Exacto handywork, stuck em on.

The models were connected to the base with Brass rod.

Now onto the models.

Kislevites part 3

Well these are the final bits of Kislevites I have currently completed. I hope to finish up the rest soon. This is Winged Lancer unit 1 of 2.

This is my Kislevite Steam Tank, hopefully I can get better pics, It's so huge it barely fits in my lightbox. The Mammoth itself is from the heritage museum.

When I was putting together my kislevites, I knew that in order to really have some fun, I had to play with some Empire units. I decided that I should have a grand theologinist. This is the unit I decided to put together.
I mainly use this unit as militia with two hand weapons, The Grand Theologinist is the Old Glory Vladimir the Turk Slayer.

The majority of the unit are the Warhammer Mordheim Kislevite range. If it wasn't for my love of these Kossacks, I would sell the unit and retire, seriously, look at how much they go for on the Ebay.

The other figures are militia with a bunch of green stuff.

Perry's Space Marines

Perry is one of my oldest customers , and his recent passion has been his nephews space marines. His only instructions were: "bronze and red". So here are the second wave finished. They are mostly painted with GW paints, primed black, and hit with a teflon green spray to undercoat. after that, I used drybrushing and inks to get the bronze look. enjoy and embiggen.

I'm halfway through Bob's commission this weekend, and things are going swimmingly. I've been doing commissions for 6 years now, and I like to think I know what I'm doing. So Bob handed off 48 old school Dixon Samurais, which Bob likes because their "short and fat like real Samurai". Now Bob is at the low end of my commission scale so i normally do a prime, one coat, and ink method.

Bob gave me two groups each with their own unique paint scheme, however each figure is basically the same armaments with slight variation. My wife is going over to her friends house tonight to watch the Emmy awards, ( a day late, i know she's weird) So I will hopefully finish off the second group tonight.

On a side note, My goal as of late is to make it through every episode of Star Trek ever produced. I generally watch TV shows while I'm painting. I'm on season 3 of Voyager now, and i regret this decision.

I'm hoping soon to finish off a small ( maybe 500 point) warband, and maybe pick up another army, I'm thinking firstborn, Sons of Kronos, or Stygian. that way i can give the game a try again. I love dead games, you never have to worry about a new codex.
